Small-group coaching cohorts · Starting January 2027

Work through change with people who get it.

Three small cohorts, each a few months long. A group of peers carrying something similar, coaching around real situations rather than lectures, and private 1:1 time with me along the way.

Facilitated by Nima Imani · ICF Associate Certified Coach · Groups of 6 to 10

The cohorts

Three cohorts.

For managers and team leads

Leading Through Change

Lead your team through change without carrying all of it alone.

  • 6 group sessions of 90 minutes, every two weeks
  • 2 private 1:1 sessions
  • 3 months · 6 to 8 managers · Online

For people newer to managing, or leading a team through growth, a reorg, or AI changing how the work gets done. We work on decisions when everything feels urgent, hard conversations, a stretched team, and your own energy.

Often paid from a learning stipend or a team budget.

For anyone whose role is changing

When Your Role Starts Changing

Make sense of what is changing, and choose your next move on purpose.

  • 6 weekly group sessions of 90 minutes
  • 1 private 1:1 session
  • 6 weeks · 8 to 10 people · Online

For engineers, scientists, designers, managers, and anyone whose work is being reshaped by AI, a reorg, a promotion, or a career move. We look at what is really changing, what you are afraid to lose, which strengths travel with you, and the conversation you need to have next.

Often paid from a learning stipend or a wellness account.

For founders and side builders

Founders' Inner Circle

Build without doing it alone.

  • 12 weekly group sessions of 90 minutes
  • 3 private 1:1 sessions, one a month
  • 3 months · Up to 8 people · In person in San Francisco

For founders, and for people building something on the side of a day job. We coach the person behind the startup: vision, overwhelm, money, co-founder and team relationships, fear of failure, and asking for help.

Paid by you or your startup.

How a session works

The topic changes. The container stays.

Arrive and connect

A few minutes to land, see each other, and say what is alive this week.

Bring a real situation

Each session has a theme, but the material is yours: the decision, the conversation, the pressure you are carrying.

Coaching, with witnesses

One or two people get coached in the room. Everyone else listens without fixing, and usually learns as much.

Leave with one step

Each person names one small commitment. We start the next session there.

Group agreements: what is said in the group stays in the group. Support over fixing. Connection over competition. No pitching.

Paying for it

Your company may cover your seat.

The manager and role change cohorts are sized to fit a typical learning stipend. Many budgets reset in January, and some let you use this year's money before it does, depending on your policy.

How to ask, with templates for your manager →

  • An invoice in your company's name, with a PO number if needed
  • A paid receipt for stipend and wellness claims
  • A W-9 on request
  • A short completion letter at the end

For organizations

A private cohort for your managers.

Six of your managers, three months, group sessions every two weeks, and private 1:1 coaching for each person. We agree the outcomes with you at the start, check in at the midpoint, and share a summary at the end. What individual managers say stays confidential.

  • For teams going through growth, a reorg, or AI changing how work gets done
  • Invoiced to the company, with a PO if needed
  • Online, or in person in the Bay Area

Questions

Before you join.

How is a cohort different from a workshop?

A workshop is one session. A cohort is the same small group over weeks or months, so trust builds, you try things between sessions, and you come back to say what happened. It also includes private 1:1 time with me.

When do the cohorts start?

All three start in January 2027. Enrollment opens November 1. Apply for a seat and I will share the dates and the schedule, usually on a short call.

What does a seat cost?

I share the price on the free call. The manager and role change seats are sized to fit a typical learning stipend, and every seat comes with an invoice and receipt for reimbursement.

Do I need to be in San Francisco?

Only for Founders' Inner Circle, which meets in person. The manager and role change cohorts meet online.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Group agreements start with confidentiality, and you never need to share names or company details. If your company pays, it gets an invoice and, if you want, a completion letter. Nothing about what you said.

What if I miss a session?

It happens. Tell me ahead of time if you can, and we can use part of your 1:1 time to catch up.

Can I try the format first?

Yes. The Friday group coaching in San Francisco is a drop-in version of the same format. See the Friday sessions →
