Founder

Nima Imani

ICF-certified, ontologically trained coach, and a solution architect by trade. Senior Solution Architect at Neo4j, Technical Lead and Solution Architect at EY, and co-founder and CTO of an AI platform before this. Runs the Friday founder group at SF Commons and facilitates the public workshops. Navigating the same change he works on, and says so.

Background

A decade building the systems. Now the people side.

  • Now: Founder, InsightsOut. Coaching, workshops, and research on the human side of AI change. Builds and runs the practice’s own agent workflows, which is where the “what should the agents do” question comes from.
  • 2024 to 2026: Co-founder and CTO of an AI-enabled emotional-learning platform. Built and led a team of six across engineering, product, and community. Designed the LLM workflows for session prep, summarization, and pattern recognition, with privacy as a design constraint.
  • 2021 to 2024: Senior Solution Architect, Neo4j. Enterprise accounts in finance, retail, cybersecurity, healthcare, and supply chain. Discovery, executive workshops, demos, and proofs of concept, translating graph, data science, and AI into business terms.
  • 2017 to 2021: Technical Lead and Solution Architect, EY. Transformation programs and enterprise data products for State Farm, ExxonMobil, Royal Caribbean, and Corteva. Paid proofs of concept that decided whether the investment happened.
  • 2013 to 2017: Software engineer and data scientist at SmartFocus, CDK Global, and Avanade. Production Python and Spark pipelines. Before that, four years teaching programming to non-specialists at the University of Washington.

Same as the InsightsOut app?

It was our first product. Nima co-founded the InsightsOut emotional-learning app and led it as CTO from 2024 until it closed in 2026. The name stayed. InsightsOut is now the practice.
